Bio:  

Hannah Chung understands innovation, and creativity can fuel change.  A graduate of Northwestern with a passion for engineering and design, she is the Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of Sproutel, creator of Jerry the Bear – an interactive teaching toy for children diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Hannah has been named one of the Top 15 Women to Watch in Tech” by Inc. Magazine and her company Sproutable has been named one of the “Top 5 Startups that Use Tech To Do Good” by Mashable.  As a freshman at Northwestern, Hannah also co-founded Design for America, an award-winning national initiative whose mission is to create a network of student-led studios that generates local and social impact through interdisciplinary design. She currently sits as a national advisor for the organization.

Hannah’s goal is to inspire her generation to follow their passion and solve big problems. In her particular journey, she aspires for children with type 1 diabetes around the globe to have Jerry the Bear. Hannah’s desire is to empower kids to thrive in their day to day lives through the ability to empathize with a friend just like them!
